DIRECTOR OF Business development
Join our Team to Make Government Decisions Better
You will be responsible for creating new sales revenue for the Proof platform inside and outside of Canada at all levels of government from municipal to federal. You will be an ambassador for Proof, always keeping in mind our mission to help make government decisions better. In addition, you will:
Quickly develop a deep understanding of the paper-based government approval process and the pain points for those who use it
Quickly develop a good working knowledge of the Proof software, how it works, and why it is superior to the paper-based system
Be able to confidently and accurately demonstrate how the software works
Make in-person or virtual presentations to government and stakeholders about our platform
Develop and maintain networks of key players within government
Establish and maintain a high level of daily sales calls
Create a superior level of trust with potential and current clients, and other stakeholders
Travel may be required

2 years of sales (or related) experience with a successful track record

You think outside the box and think creatively. Proof is doing something new in government so we don’t have all the answers. You are expected to take initiative and figure things out yourself or as a team
You must be curious, tech-savvy, and quick to pick-up new apps and software. We use several on a daily basis (Slack, GSuite, Hubspot, etc).
Highly proficient in verbal and written communication. You will be communicating with Deputy Ministers (French is a big plus).
Previous or current experience as an entrepreneur or in government is a big plus.

This will predominantly be a position located in Toronto or Ottawa. You will be representing the team in meetings with prospective and current clients in Ontario.
