Software Developer (Web/Full Stack)
Join our Team to Make Government Decisions Better
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The development team develops, deploys and supports our web-application which is a combination of a task manager and a collaboration tool; we combine elements of Asana, Slack and Airtable; see a demo here.
The development team is a small team within a growing company. Team members fill a variety of tasks and collaborate with a wide variety of business functions. We work with:
our product and sales teams to define the next product features and iterations
our customer success team to debug and address issues experienced in production
our implementation team to configure new application instances for our new customers
the rest of the development team to fulfill the above with a consistent approach and according to engineering best practices
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Above all, we look for great people. For us, that means curious, growth-minded, hard-working, empathetic, self-starting, and collaborative people excited by a project that is ultimately aimed at social good.
We are passionate about the craft of software and are looking for people with proven experience designing, developing and shipping software for the web. Motivation to ship value to users is critical; wanting to please users is the compass out of the ivory tower of software purity.
Our codebase is built with Ruby on Rails, Vue.js and deployed with Postgres, Docker and Amazon Web Services; familiarity with these particular technologies is an asset though not specifically required.
Bonus points for knowledge of or affinity to: event sourcing, enterprise systems, asynchronous architectures, and maintainability.
Incredible learning in an empowering, impact-driven startup with an empathetic team.
Flexible Location (offices in Yukon, Halifax, and Toronto). Remote considered.
A salary that supports you while you earn equity in a growing startup.
